I installed True Image and activated ASRM. I then installed SuSE9.2 on another partition, and, as the Acronis User Guide warned me, Grub modified the MBR meaning that I couldn't use F11.

    However, the User Guide says:
As a Linux newbie could someone tell me (in easy terms :)) how I change Grub so that I can have the F11 option back plus the Option of booting into Windows or Linux?

    Thanks

I think you may have misunderstood me. ASRM was working well until Grub changed the MBR. Grub works well so doesn't need restoring. It's the F11 that is missing. The article you quote shows you how to restore Grub to the MBR which is not what I want, since your user guide says Grub should not use the MBR but be put somewhere else. It's the 'somewhere else' I need help with.

    Or have I misunderstood something?
