I also have Ashampoo Burning Studio 2007. This was also free, full version. And if I go to "help" and "about" I can see that this is version 6.20. So Ashampoo Burning Studio 6.5 must be newer.

Can someone tell me if I have to uninstall ABS 2007 before installing this new version? Can I use the same key?

 

2007 being a free version had a couple of options/features removed. IIRC it uninstalls 2007 automatically when you install 6.5.

How do you get a serial code for the product? Do you need to install it first and thanks.

Yes. Just install it and then it'll ask you if you want to enter a key, register for one or try it (or something along those lines).

 

Have not tried this one yet. When i dl the last free version ABS 2007 I think I downloaded first. Think you have to register and get your free key sent by email. I created an personal account, and I dont regret it. I had a system crash and had to reinstall. I had not backed up the most recent emails, so I lost my key. But I found it when I logged in to my account.

Just remember to use a "throwaway" email address when registering, because you *will* receive daily spam emails from Ashampoo. They do provide an "unsubscribe" option, but... you know the drill.

LOL... that's true, and that's why I end up buying so many software from them...and I got my ABS7 at a unbelievable price which they claimed to be a mistake. They want to replace me with a software which I have already owned; I email them to voice out my disappointment... they accept the mistake they made, and granted me the offer. That's what I call Good Customer Service...

The Burning Studio 4, 5, 6, 6.5 or 7... they are good Burning software...
