Are top rated firewalls useless against malware I found on this post...

    I guess they are. And I guess there is malware also, just as many as that OS is popular. For your info, malware points the most popular targets. And then if it is enough in other OS just to filter packets, then it is enough for firewall there to do just filtering. For some other OSes it is not enough just to filter the packets to do _the_same_ job (to control network traffic). Arguing is senless here, it is real life that states requirements.

    Yes, that's true but even so if there was a lot of traffic that Crawler mentions because he was already infected, it looks like ZA protected me since there were NO ADDITIONAL INFECTIONS-IT WAS ONLY ONE MALWARE.

    So ZoneAlarm protected from getting more infections on his computer.
