When I first started driving, gas was $.25 a gallon, and the gas wars took it down to under $ .19 a lot of the time.

Yea right!! An I couldn't afford it then either! I remember sneaking soda bottles off of back porches for the $.02 deposit so I could put a gal. or two in my '47 Plymouth coupe. I did get about 25 mi per gal on the gas but unfortunately it was about the same for the oil!

    God bless Mobil, big ed

    Well Peachy,

I just picked up my Honda Element last Fri afternoon. I only have about 65 mi. on it and the gas gauge hasn't moved yet. Here's hoping it never moves!!

    Pish n Posh,

Went to watch my son's Football match...they thrashed the other team 3-nil in the pouring rain. Fortunately it was on astro-turf so the laundry should be easy on Monday. Put another 60 mi on the beast and the needle is on 7/8. Have a busy next week so I might get to spend about $50 to fill it back up! I'm really looking forward to that!

I hear all this boo hooing about gas prices. Is anybody listening?? Or care??

When I go...I'll volunteer for the tar pits, Fossil ed

Gas prices aren't high. If you were paying the same price for gas as you do for those little bottles of (Evian/Naive) water (thanks Rita) for the same amount, the price of gas would be somewhere around $25.00 per gallon.

Have gone a bit more than 200 mi and the gas gague is hovering around the half full/empty mark.

I hope the tank gets really low pretty soon so I can refill it before the price goes up again! Somehow that doesn't sound right.
