Are current versions of my programs still ok, security and privacy wise?

    Hello new user, if this is wrong section please move it.

    Basically haven't updated to new versions of the following programs in 1-2 years probably and I want to know if the new versions are still solid in the security/privacy area.

    firefox still on ver 3
    sandboxie still on ver 3
    winpatrol
    ccleaner

    I'm also on ver 4 with comodo firewall curious if ver 5 takes lot more resources then 4. Thanks for helping me :)

    they were good then and they are still good now. time to update to latest versions

    I agree with this. Well said. But I will say they are better now :D

    You are better off to update them. There is always a chance an exploit could get around older versions of software.

    I find Winpatrol weak. I onced installed a software which was bundled with something else and told Winpatrol not to allow it, but it still got installed.

    Thanks I'll update them, any info on their current resources usage? Especially curious about the newest comodo firewall free ver and firefox.

    Well Comodo Firewall is lighter uses about 6mb of memory on my laptop. Not sure about firefox as I have only used v6 very briefly.
