Applications frozen with ESS

After installing ESS I have suffering several times a day the following problem: Suddenly it seems that all the applications opened are unable to close. I can change between windows but when I try to close any of them (saving data), that application freezes. The only solution is to switch off the computer and restart.

If I disable all antivirus and antispam protection in ESS, this problem doesn't happen.

When the problem happens, I see a line almost every minute in the ESS firewall that reads:
"15/02/2008 10:47:26 Detected DNS cache poisoning attack 192.168.1.253:53 192.168.1.27:1025 UDP".

I use Outlook 2007 working with a .OST file that exchanges information against a Exchange Server in 192.168.1.253.
192.168.1.27 is my own IP address.
