Is there a such thing as a firewall which only prevents and denys processes to access the network??

Like who cares what port or address, but just allow or deny this process to access the network?

Also what's the thinest and smallest app firewall? fastest? is it free? Jetico?

There used to be a little program from Agnitum called Jammer that did this. But they have taken it off their site and no longer support it. Might be difficult to find elsewhere too nowadays. That's the only one I know of really. You can use a few of the firewalls for app control only, ZA for example, by turning off the internet filtering.

With routers, all you need is outbound, sadly, not anyone in the firewall business takes heed to this, and sadly not even router companies, so even with router's inbound SPI, most end up doing redundant and probably speed reducing dual filtering un-necessarily. Only ZAP lets you turn off its inbound SPI for now, there may be others, I am yet to come across one.
