This is excellent news. I guess they finally decided they needed to do something about the issue due the threat of lawsuits. It's good to see that the phones can work again now. I found it rather strange that the phones were "unrecoverable" after being bricked, as for example if brick an Android device by flashing an incompatible ROM, I can unbrick it by flashing the correct ROM.
