I suggest sending an email to: appguard@blueridgenetworks.com and request assistance. It's not clear to me from your post what state your system is in: -
    • When you said v3.5 did not uninstall cleanly what did you mean by that - that it's still running or that there are leftover files and folders?
    • If it's just leftover files and folders, are you able to delete all of them manually, including the XML policy files located in AppData?
    • Is it just v4.0 that you can't reinstall - Are you able to reinstall v3.5?
I assume you don't have a system image that you can restore back to. Imaging would have provided a quick and easy resolution to this.

As SLE said, there is no need to make Sandboxie a Power App and you shouldn't have guarded Sandboxie Control. That's why you are seeing MemoryGuard alerts relating to Sandboxie. You should only guard untrusted applications, not other security applications.

When you uninstalled Comodo Firewall did you make sure that AppGuard stayed in Install mode throughout the reboot by unchecking the "Automatically resume" checkbox before restarting the system?

It's a safer procedure to follow when installing or uninstalling software that requires a reboot. If AppGuard was set to remain in Install mode throughout the restart then something clearly went badly wrong.

Looks like there is no more 30 day trial offered, which I think is a bad idea.

    Ah-ha!!

Looks like I've confirmed the source of my dilemma. Just as I thought -

My re-install is blocked by APPGUARD policy #7.

The emails just started going out about 30 minutes ago. Our upgrade policy has now been expanded so that anyone that has previously purchased AppGuard will get a free upgrade to AppGuard 4.0 with 3 activations. Pretty generous I think. Beyond 4.0, I can't make any promises.

If you don't get an email by the end of the day, please email AppGuard@BlueRidge.com (or PM me).

If you are using 3.x, you'll have to wait for the e-mail with the updated licence information.

FYI: I just purchased AppGuard from the website a few minutes ago. Interestingly, the download link was for version 3.5.6.1

Looks like I acted too quickly.

You will need a new code. Hopefully you will get one in email. If you don't get a code, email Blue Ridge (please wait till Wednesday or Thursday).

Yes. We are just doing a soft launch right now to previous purchasers of 3.x. We hope to go live on Wednesday for everyone else.

This isn't your problem. We checked your license file and your license still says that it has a valid activation. If you uninstall AppGuard while you are online, then AppGuard will notify the license server to increment your activation count and you should be able to re-install or move to another PC.

If you are unable to resolve the issue, please email AppGuard@BlueRidge.com with your support issue.

The web-site is not completed. It is still considered in the pre-launch state.

It looks like they've gotten through about 1/5th of the emails before stopping for the day. I expect most of the rest will go out tomorrow. Sorry if you weren't included in the first batch.

For everyone that did get an email, they've referenced "AppGuardUS.com". Although this site is live, it will still point to 3.5 for purchase. Anyone that does purchase 3.5 (for $20) will get a free upgrade to 4.0 when it comes out.
