Anyone using PeStudio by Winitor?

Edit the path in the PeStudioIntoExplorerContextMenu.reg file included with PeStudio and merge the file for explorer context-menu integration.

EDIT: I am having problems sending files to 7.27 too and reverted to 7.26. My apologies to ellison64 if you were already aware of the reg file included with PeStudio. I didn't realize there was a problem with the latest version.

 

@ellison64: "right click explorer scan on a file" works "just" by running the "PeStudioIntoExplorerContextMenu.reg" file that is part of the package (and taking care that the path referenced by the reg file is ok)....but, after making modification to support the prompt, a bug prevents it now to work! :-( Sorry about that! This will be corrected tomorrow.

 

@ellison64: the issue with the integration of PeStudio in Explorer menu has been fixed in PeStudio 7.28.

 

@0strodamus: could you please confirm that the explorer context-menu integration now works with PeStudio 7.28? Thank you!

I didnt know about the regfile so thanks to both for mentioning that.I just downloaded the new version and entered the reg entry which was successfully entered.The "open in pestudio" now shows on right click,however when i do that for a file i get the open with dialouge screen ,rather than opening straight into pe studio.Is that normal operation?.Im using w7 64bit.

Sorry...i didnt read 0strodamus reply correctly ,and have now edited the path to c folder (where ive installed) rather than c>temp.It now works correctly

@0strodamus: thank you very much for helping me to make PS better. It looks like this image crashes PeStudio 7.31 as available on winitor, "only" when the VT Tab is accessed. I'll correct this today and let you know when resolved. Sorry about any inconvenience!

@0strodamus: thanks for the samples. Please send these directly to my email address. I have changed the loading of the libraries and for some files, there is a side-effect that leads to this failure! I am working on that and will publish the fix asap.

@StillAlive: very good idea! Actually I am planning to support full "on-demand" de-upx. Some details (I call these "indicators") of UPX-Analyser are interesting.
