I am just wondering if it's now okay to use only and trust the Ewido 4 beta, and removed Ewido 3.5 from our pc... coz having two same brand name with the same function of software I think is not a good idea.

As of now, I am still using Ewido 3.5, I have already downloaded Ewido 4 but still hesitates to install it and was thinking that I have to wait for the final release version. :cautious:

Is it ok to remove 3.5 and install and use version 4 beta? o_O

I didn't remove 3.5, but only disabled the startup and the guard.
At present only using 4.0., so that says enough I think.

I'm only using the Beta at the moment.. think it's much cleaner and better featured, even if it has many bugs. :) But I'm not using it for Real-Time Protection, so I don't have any experience of that situation.. :doubt:

I adopted a wait and see attitude on Ewido 4 beta, I still have 3.5 on the computer. While 4.0 beta might have more features it is still a beta and prone to FPs, and I would take anything it finds with a grain of salt till it is out of beta.

I have for the last week, in the beginning it was very buggy with extreme slowdowns, this was cured with a couple of prog updates and it is presently running very light in my setup, the GUI is a lot better, but still recognizeable if you're used to 3.5.

I like it a lot, but are a bit dissapointed with the lack of new features, if we disregard the GUI improvements.

I was unable to use the installer ewido-signatures-full-current.exe to update the signature of 4.0 beta manually.

    Signatures of 4.0 beta: 2001.dat to 2009.dat

Signatures of 3.5 beta: 1710.dat to 1835 dat

The manual installers are not yet compatible with version 4.0, that's also why they fail to recognize version 4.0 and cannot be used with version 4.0. They will be updated once version 4.0 is final.

I uninstalled version 3.5 before installing the 4.0 beta.

Okay... I have uninstalled and removed Ewido 3.5 and installed Ewido 4 in my pc last night and it's running smoothly. It looks very different and has lots of added features compared to its previous version. But what have disappointed me was that this added features was already available with my other programs and it seems that they just overlap with each other. Like the anti-spy feature, I was already using SafeXP for this. :(

I was wondering then, what you've tick in this feature...o_O?
