I just installed the development build of the Chrome browser for Linux and I must say that it is quite fast. According to the PeaceKeeper browser benchmark, my overall score was about 3300. On Firefox 3.5, my score was only 1800.

It isn't ready for production yet, but I like what I see.

I asked for an email when Linux Chrome is available and I have not gotten one yet. I didn't know it was out yet.

It's not out yet. I installed the development build. Although most features are complete, it is still a bit buggy. I doubt it is anywhere close to being finalized.

Give the portable Chromium a try.

Still only beta but I have found it pretty stable.
