    NOD Passes June VB Test

NOD32 has received a 100% certification in the June Virus Bulletin test on the Win XP platform. Good job ESET.

Doesn't mean much if it says 100% certification for NOD32 AND other AVs too.

Actually, even if all the products tested passed it, passing the test does mean that NOD32 and the other products that received certification can detect some of the more common pieces of malware found in the wild without generating false positives.

In fact, there were six products which failed to pass the test:

    Arcavir
    BLC WinClean
    CatQuickHeal
    Fortinet
    Hauri(ViRobot)
    Unasoft

I am not a paid subscriber to the VB, so I don't know if they failed because they missed a piece of tested malware or because they generated a false positive.
