Anyone here use VNC to remote into someones comp to fix problems?

Just curious. I help alot of my members out on my website (www.mustangevolution.com) with computer problems. I use RealVnc to get into their computer and do it myself as I find it impossible to tell them how to remove every infection over something like aim.

My latest person had over 1500 critical objects in Adaware and over 400 files found by F-Prot.

Needless to say that was a 3-4 hr job cleaning his computer up.

All I used was F-Prot, Ad-Aware, Spybot, Hijack this and CWSchredder to remove every infection. Then used spyware blaster to prevent further infection do to the person being very very bad about clicking on things he shouldnt

Just wondering if you every do that or if its just me
