Still down here but was able to get the update manually. Saw this error:

550 Can't change directory to pub: No such file or directory
    process detached

    Fellow BoClean users...
Ronjor got it I guess and so did I, auto update is down...but here is instructions for those who do not know how to get "manually"
Go to home page or Ronjor link:
Scroll down to "Having problems downloading" click HTTP Trojan Horse and run the file, click Proceed button. BOClean knows where to go ;) after it executes it will disappear. This is very important open BoClean double click Vac in tray and click Load/Retest your date will change and you are good to go.

    And remember BoClean=Trojan defense!

I' sure Kevin and Nancy will get this fixed. :)

    Hi,

LOL, maybe it would be better to change the title of this thread so we could see it is about a BOClean update problem ;)

Well, there is a new update but I cannot get it by the usually way, so I used the manually update way.

    According to the BOClean site:
    FILEDATE: 08/28/2004 06:12:04

    Cheers, Jan.

We are in the midst of what, after repeated assurances and 2 weeks of
preparation would be a seamless transfer, is now a ^%%*&^%&&^%(&*

nightmare as we transition to a new server. I expect everything will be
settled in a matter of hours, so they tell me, please bear with us. We

I just saw BO attempt to do an update a few minutes ago but it still shows the 27th. When I click the update button it says, I have the latest update. :doubt:

Did the same thing I did last night.(see 9:57 PM post yesterday). The date changed so I am sure I got it that way. Cheers everybody. :)

That would be post number 10.

If your BOClean menu tells you (at the moment !) that your last update is:
    FILEDATE: 08/28/2004 06:12:04
    then you're OK :)

You can also do a second check (after opening the BOClean menu) by clicking the option "Covered Trojans".
It will open the list in WordPad (or something like that).
At the top you will see the total number.
    At the moment :
    "4201 trojans are covered" etc.
You can compare that number here:
    http://www.nsclean.com/trolist.html

In case you are/were not able to get the latest update in the usually way, just go to this site:
    http://www.nsclean.com/update.html
Then scroll down to the option to get the update by HTTP Download, download and run it, open your BOClean-menu and click "Reload/test update".

Then you should be OK :)

Yes, FanJ Thanks. Each paragragh in your post:

Yes, that is the date and time I got. Thanks.

I forgot about that it has been a long time since I have compared lists. Thanks for the reminder.

Yes, that is exactly how I've been getting them since server problems happened.
Your instructions are better written then my post number 10. Thanks again.

    :D

I had the same issue with BOClean and note that some are having the second problem I had about the manual update. Mine kept showing the 27.8.04 after I downloaded and re-loaded until I discovered that BOClean had a copy of the update in its own folder plus one on the actual drive. I copied it to the root of my OS drive and then reloaded and the update is now 28.8.04. HTH but it was the same on my laptop also.

Just only to keep you all updated:

Posting from Nancy at the PSC-forum at the Gladiator-Security-Forum:

    Quotes :

We believe the issues with the listserver have been resolved. Many of you should have received a notice today that didn't have a subject line (we've fixed that already for next time). If you didn't, please email register@nsclean.com and we'll get you back on the list.

If you had sent us email over the past few days that bounced, including upgrade requests, please resend it. Most if not all of the addresses have been restored.

Thanks again to everyone for your patience and understanding.
