Any Threatfire users ?

I installed 4.7.11 but didn't realize it had a 'Service' as well as an Update.

- Can any TF users please advise, if I stop and block the service but allow the updates will TF likely still work ?

 

If I were you, I'd allow the service and update full access. The service is the main component you want running at all times.

If TF inconveniences while you're doing a task, you can always right-click on the icon and suspend it at anytime when it's not needed.

Give ThreatFire a go, and also try mamutu, although it is a paid product.

I've found Mamutu to provide more initial alerts, but after a few days is lighter. Hopefully TF keeps improving their program, as for free, it's great.

 

TF seems to work compatibly with my other security Apps., and it auto.
updates - ran the scans, clear, otherwise runs quietly (no alerts) so will see how it goes.

Just so you know people using vista not all but some like myself lost the use of are keyboard after a few weeks.The newer update may of fixed this ,but I'm not going through that again. Like I said its just a note. Look in the search on this site for threatfire threads.
