There is no problem using the older version that I got through Softpedia. Only had the issue when I downloaded the latest version for this link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lj7rttei7jcsu25/Antivirus Remover.exe?dl=0

Correct you could use google or a folder of internet shortcuts, or use my program. What ever the person like. The dropbox links are updated as need and are check frequently for updates. so having outdated software is slim.

Over 20 thousand downloads and so far people haven't complained of out of date links. and Its been running a year now.

    thank you

You should make it so the log is saved in the same directory as the .exe instead of making it auto-save the log to the users My Documents folder.

    Program Update: 2.30

    Brand new layout:
    Antivirus Remover New.jpg

Change: When an error happens I've now added the option if you want to be replied to or not on the error you can.
Change: The Antivirus Remover.txt file now gets deleted so there is no traces or left over when using Antivirus Remover.

Let me know what you think :)

    thank you

I am getting this error after launching the software, before I manually add to firewall's allow list. Quit does not work too. But AFTER allowing in firewall and relaunching, works as expected. Note, the first firewall alert is from webroot and second is from wfc.

What error are you getting? try taking a screen shot of the error from me.
Try downloading it again from my signature. Might be running a old version.

    thank you

Ok after reviewing the error log you posted it look like Webroot was blocking Antivirus Remover from Downloading the database file that holds the links. The next version I will add a popup for the Exception so instead of you or anyone else getting this error I will add a popup stating you might have to add Antivirus Remover to your Allow list in your Firewall rules.

thank you for sharing this with me. Helps others and your self understand the error.

    thank you
    Brock

    Some spelling corrections please

Bit Defender Free Antivirus = BitDefender Free Antivirus
    Bull Guard = BullGuard
    Mcafee = McAfee

    Thanks

Thanks for your prompt action! Antivirus remover is a must have tool for those like me who fix PCs for a living as we often need to remove bad AV installs from systems and it's a hassle to always be able to get the latest uninstaller since each uninstall Tool of an AV is named differently (ie. some name it removal tool, some name it uninstall tool, etc.). It has saved me a lot of time and easily enabled me to update my uninstallers. Heck, I couldn't for the life of me find the BullGuard Uninstaller if it wasn't for your tool!

Thanks a lot for your hard efforts

Would it be possible to add Windows Defender to the list? It would require scripts and such to get rid of, as there is no Removal Tool available. I know that Windows 8 Manager allows you to disable it but it still runs on my computer.

Microsoft allowed users to remove Internet Explorer via the Turn Windows features on or off window. So I feel like I should have the option or ability to remove Windows Defender as well.

I've found a tool that removes Windows Defender for only Windows vista-7 but not Win8/8.1 because its so greatly built into the OS that if you run the tool it will cause explorer errors and you will have to format and reinstall Windows 8 if you run it. That being said I'm going to either add a prompt to alert the user not to run it if you are indeed running windows 8 or Not even show it in the list if you are using Windows 8 but if you show the full list it will then show it but will prompt and alert to tell the user Don't at all run it.

Before I update the list I will have to do a Program update to Antivirus Remover before the list update.

I'll do it tomorrow and get an update out for you.

    thank you
    Brock
