ESET Smart Security or Webroot AV. Only one at the time, and lately it has been ESET for a long time.

Please read my post. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy all the "viruses lurking on my computer".

Fred can't use a computer. First, his spelling is terrible and his paws are too big.

Price, performance, system impact, and even support are all positive aspects of Avira. I have it on my main machine only, I'm running 2 other machines with Sandboxie and no AV, so far (3 months) no malware has been detected. Kaspersky reckons 70,000 new viruses are created everyday, Avira has detected 2 instances in one year and from flash drives. I think a lot of it is FUD which produces a lot of money: Kaspersky had an estimated revenue in 2012 of 600-750 million dollars, Symantec almost 7 billion dollars...Gross revenue most likely, coming from many sources (including shares) still an awful lot of money indeed.

Depends. I voted Outpost Pro (actually I use Outpost Security Suite) and Microsoft Security Essentials, I should have voted None too.

MYFreeAntivirus 2013, which isn't actually free, and is a rebranded Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013.

    Roboscan on another laptop.

I keep VIPRE around, but with Sandboxie onboard, it doesn't really matter which AV I use.

I just went back to Avast 7 free after having had an unpleasant experience with Avast 6 last year. I had used Avast 4.8 for several years without any problems, so I wanted to give it another go.
