Lol, I've been wondering the same thing. I love Switzerland. I think Ikarus is but I'm not positive, maybe because their logo looks like the Swiss white cross on red.

Yes Defenx, they are using the Agnitum engine. :)

An informative place to check if you want to find out where they are from, or 3'rd party AV engine being used..is AV-C AV Vendors List.

Swiss bank accounts, Swiss cheese and more are all the things I love about the Swiss.

Derice Bannock: You don't see the Swiss team fightin', do you?
Derice Bannock: You don't see the Swiss team drinkin' and carryin' on and such.
Sanka Coffie: And you don't see the Swiss team smilin' neither.
Sanka Coffie: In fact, if one of those Swiss boys ever come across a pretty girl, he probably yell, "eins, zwei, drei" and try to push her down some ice.
    [laughs]

I'd rather see one made in Antarctica. Seriously, it's an international effort.

There was an AV product from Switzerland but it was taken off the market because it contained too many holes (or am I thinking about the cheese...).

Haha lol 150 Euros for a lifetime license :D

Also on the link above, they don't see a lot of positive things in other AV's when they compare their AV against the competition :D

The table under "Save Your Money" on the Switz website had me about to die laughing.

The translations are horrible, but basic math has no language and they couldn't get that right either.

I prefer to have an AV made in Germany if the vendor's origin/HQ is on my consideration list, actually.

And shortly after that the VB company was shutdown....

Well, Fat or Slim, yes G-data is from Germany too, I forgot about them. Not only the gui but one of it's engines too the "Close Gap" developed in-house by G-Data afaik.

Yes Emsisoft is from Austria (like always), hmm don't know why I wrote Germany o_O
