Antivirus for Android phone?

    6 months later, and I still don't feel a need for one. If I want my phone to run slow I'll underclock it. :D

    AV always has some overhead and I expect the impact varies depending on your phone. I have the HTC Incredible 2 and don't notice any slowdowns using Dr Web. It's not clear that AV is necessary yet on phones the way it is on PCs. What will make it clear is more phones becoming infected and suffering the same problems as PCs, such as stolen passwords and corrupted operating systems. Since there are many free AVs for mobile it doesn't hurt to be proactive.
