AntiVir update fixed?

AntiVir update seemed to be totally automatic today.

I wonder if they fixed it.

It did not ask its usual questions of if I wanted to update and if I wanted to

close the connection after update so I didnt have to click on anything I just

watched it update and saved myself a couple of clicks.

 

Can't answer your question. I update AV-PE manually. If it wasn't for clicking on updates, I wouldn't get any exercise at all.

Hopefully, Wildman will drop by here. He's an AV-PE update fan.

 

Updated automatically again today no clicks required.

I can now delete KAV 5, AVAST and AVG as AntiVir suits me fine.

Lowest resource usage on my pc out of all of them.

 

Em,how? I don't see any difference. Its the same old Update Wizard without any auto update feature.

 

Its updating automatically allright.

I think the program is still the same but I may have changed the update settings

so it works as it should and my previous setting was wrong.

I selected "The internet update program establishes the following connection"

and selected my adsl modem and it seems to update automatically with no clicks

from me.

When I choose the first two settings I get the pop up windows with the

questions which I have to click.

 

I'm using 3rd party AntiVir autoupdate in the startup folder (yes, I shutdown/restart my system daily, sometimes more than once).

Works very well for me, except that I had to manually rename notify.exe to notify.bak, because otherwise AntiVir would force me to fill up the web based questionnaire every single time Update was running.

Now it's running ok for me, for a free on-demand-only backup scanner.
