I have recently read that because of Microsoft's KPP, many security firms had to compromise the level of security provided of their 32bit product versions in order to make a 64 bit version of their products. The one that concerns me is AntiVir Free. Can someone please verify whether the 64 bit version is as secure as their 32 bit one. Also did they resort to kernel patching on 32 bit systems to provide protection in the first place?

Mainly the only thing affected in 64bit is HIPS because of patchguard.

Well, the fact that you have three mb installed says a lot. Only a 64bit system shows more than three and as I have six I use 64bit. Without a problem, by the way.
