    Hello,

An alert about viruses from an anti-virus company ... You might be stupid enough to install fake codecs - why don't you use our product?

Besides, it does not matter which software or why - people installing stuff can and will get infected. It definitely pays to avoid dubious behavior / content, which has nothing to do with AV software.

Even further, it really takes special skill to be that naive. It takes skill to find the wrong movies that require fake codecs - when there are so many freely and fully available ...

    Oh, humanity ...

    Cheers,
    Mrk

Also, this crap won't do anything unless you supply it your root password.

Exactly! No such thing as a drive-by infection on a Mac.

Still, the vulnerability is really serious.
