That would not make people happy to have that removed . People like to have options and a full scan does have a slight chance to catch a trace or two but no more ability to catch anything that enters memory .

Quick scan does the following :

Full special case heuristics (like combofix and others if an infection is a big enough pain in the butt and is common enough it gets its own routine , zlob vundo and others are in this one)

    Load Points

    Memory

Files in all folders that malware has been observed in over the last year

Full GUID scan and full bi-directional GUID to file interlink scan (BTW this is not just CLSIDs)

Full load point to matching file set scan

    Hijacked component scan

    Reserved word exploit scan

There is more but more or less the quick scan does everything that full scan does aside from scanning all files . Quick scan only looks in folders where malware will be found and ignores the ones where malware has not been observed in over the last year .

I have never run a MBAM full scan . If quick misses something I modify it .

Thanks for the explanation. I hope you keep some stuff secret in case some malware writer visits this forum....
Just want to thank you and the MBAM team once again for a wonderful app. Keep up the good work.

This also goes to Nick. SAS is another wonderful app. I know you guys are competition, but as stated many times before, the real competition is against malware:thumb: :thumb:

Spybot S&D and SAS for On-Demand.

    you konw, i mean EQSecure

    1 box :

At last is my Devastating Weapon - a on-boot file remover (this kit comes with an windows GUI, and a seriously striped-down DOS7 environment, very small very powerful)
