    Re: Large update

    does that include the variants?

I reckon the number of detetected threats can easily be doubled by the variants that can also be detected.
    In this update (1.1688 ) for example: Win32/SdBot (143)

Load balancing is still enabled for trial users so it may take a while for you to download that update. However, we assume this kind of problem will be gone as soon as new update servers have been installed. We are also going to take measures to completely eliminate users using cracked trial versions which will alleviate the update servers for trial users significantly.

    Re: Large update

That's true but those are not variants :)

Win32/SdBot {A,B,C} are the actual one with ABC variants.
Win32/SdBot (143) are so called 'sub-signatures' as explained here

Sounds good Marcos... cracked users don't deserve updates anyway. :D

    Re: Large update

Cheers for the link. I didnt think {} was used anymore and it was just numbers in brackets. I read what Marcos said at the top of this thread:
and presumed the numbers were classed as variants

    Re: Large update

It is big because of the many detections added however it was small and there is no server issue , I think . I updated engine1 and util.nup / 313 kb or something like that .

With so many detections and with these heuristics one can feel really protection and viruses should find a good place to hide because NOD32 will eat them :D :D :D

    Great stuff guys,

I for one will be glad when this user cracking sheme is finished.

    *Take note*
    - They are several teams dedicated to crackout the trial version of Nod32 and make it possible to have the trial period reset to 30days all the time.

    - As it stands right now it's not a very complicated thing do with with a few tools.

    Regards,
*I hate reverse engineering damn it*

I can think of some updates I'd like to see them getting, and they wouldn't be the helpfull variety.

Sure you haven't missed anything . Just you connected to internet after a new update was established . A successful update of 1.1689 covers everything before that .
