I decided to trial TI. I have a LiteOn 8x burn and was looking forward to using blank 4g dvds to back image a simple ide 60g drive with 14g used space. I tried a Maxell and a memorex dvd with no luck (coaster). These things ain't cheap. Below is the error I get after about 2 min into the process. Sorry I couldn't get pic to u/l. It said failed to write data to image archive. Help please.

    Hi, BG

Ti will can not write [create] an Image direct to a DVD.

It is best to create an Image on a Partition of which you are not trying to Image [to 2HDD] using the highest compression.

    Then Reboot. [just for safety]

Do you have Nero Burning Software [best IMHO]? [or some other]

Please also have read this thread:- Recipe for imaging to DVD+RW?
    All so this bit:- #23

Hope this is of some help.

Thanks ... I will try this. To bad the program leads you to believe it will burn to a dvd.

    Hi, BG

I think you must have read it wrong or misunderstood something, scroll down to How can I use Acronis True Image 7.0 to write the images directly to DVD disks?:- Acronis FAQ

But I would advise not to using it, UDF as it is more trouble then it worth.
