Glad to see the media bringing this to people's attention.

I just hope that these organizations that get duped (PayPal, eBay, Citibank, etc) will campaign to distinctly separate themselves from these emails and make sure all their customers know it!

PayPal, for example, could just put "log into your account normally" instead of providing a link, and send an email to everyone saying that they will no longer provide any links in any email. Sadly, I think these solutions will rest on the shoulders of these organizations whose customers are being targeted.

    Hi Acadia!

I was one of the persons who had a negative opinion about PCMag, I was not flaming against you, I was flaming against PCMag because they use spyware and have the evil "courage" to warn against the same spyware.

I think people must be warned when they are the subject of spyware attacks.

Again, the flames are not pointed to you, because your intentions are good, keep posting interesting articles!
(And the other forum members will check every thread on dangerous content;) )

    Ciao,

Please feel free in the future to post without fear of reprisal or flames. While a mistake with a link can be made from time to time....the flames can be controlled :ninja:
