    I will endorse that except, but disagree with this. DefenseWall should have blocked it silently, Mamutu would have thrown a pop-up, PCToolsFW+ should have noticed something, so adding/changing security software wil not solve teh cause of the problem you encountered. (user error) :(

    'fssfltr_tdi.sys' either is a brilliant rootkit or a driver gone sour (see http://www.runscanner.net/fileinfo/fssfltr_tdi.sys.html ).

    That particular file is known to cause issues,not malicious though,although some may say Microsoft is malicious.

    Actually it is the family safety filter driver from MickeySoft

    When you google the internet from end january to mid february a lot of people had problems with it.

    Ah well a PC which does not boot is the safest PC
