amon showing no files scanned

amon is showing no files scanned. i downloaded the eicar test file, it shows 1k file size. i am able to move this file all over the directors on my system and exacute it with noting showing in the threat log.
what is going on here?

The program is not functioning as it should.
There can be many reasons for this but let's start with program reinstallation .

Even better will be to install the latest ESET NOD32 Antivirus 3.0

1. Download fresh new version from
http://www.eset.com/download . Make sure that you choose the correct version.

2. Uninstall your current version
3. Reboot the computer when prompted
4. Delete manually these folders:

for XP:
- C:\Program files\ESET
- C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application data\Eset
- C:\Documents and Settings\~username~\Local Settings\Application data\Eset

for Vista:
- C:\Program files\ESET
- C:\Program data\Eset
- C:\Users\~username~\AppData\Local\Eset

5. Reinstall your ESET NOD32 software using the file you downloaded in step1 . Use typical install.

Test after that with Eicar test file from www.eicar.org
