In the AMON settings, is it ok to leave the default extensions for scanning instead of ticking scan all files? I do have deep heuristics, runtime packers, and advanced heuristics all ticked. Also, would I need to tick scan extensionless files if I used the default extensions list? Thanks

It's not strictly neccesary, however, I personally recommend to scan all files extensions. For example, NOD32 will not detect JPG malicious files if you haven't scan all files enabled. If your system is modern, you'll not feel a slowdown enabling such option.

    Yes, it's OK.

Regarding the noticibility of performance degradation: If I put a 300-pound weight in the trunk of your car, you may not notice a decrease in your gas mileage. This doesn't mean you won't in fact be experiencing a statistically-significant decrease in gas mileage.
