Alternative FREE Anti-Virus Software for avast!

    why do the latest Av tests show avasts detection rate is a little lower than others like nod and so on? Is avg's detction rates better than avast's?

    and can one run avast and AVg on the same system?

    the latest proactive test (@ AV-Comparatives)shows nod32 doing the best, usually kav and mcafee are top dogs. and yes i noted that avg did perform poorly. at least my fav free AV, avast, did a bit better. i wouldnt get so into the tests tho, just use whatever AV u feel best protected with.

    ClamWin does have an real time e-mail scanner for Outlook.
