Allow/Deny window will not close

Hi

A window popped up asking if I want to allow or deny a connection to one of my network computers. I clicked to allow it, but the window will not close. It's still open on my desktop but I've had to move it out of the way.

Is there any easy way of closing it without restarting windows?

 

Maybe it's not the same window. Did you check the box to remember the selection and create a temporary rule for the communication?

 

No, it was the same window...same message for same application on same machine. It didn't matter if I clicked allow or deny, they didn't do anything.

To get rid of it I just restarted my pc. As it was shutting down I noticed another box underneath it with an error message but I didn't get a chance to read what it said.

It's been ok since then.
