I've had a bad week. My C drive failed, but I had steadily been making
backup images with True Image 8. I always used a USB hard drive to
hold these images. I rebuilt my computer with new CPU, mobo, and HD.
The only thing I need out of my backup images is my email records
and my Quicken register. Now, attempting to restore any of these images,
all of them say "image is corrupted". Wow. These images checked out
as okay when I verified their integrity a few weeks ago. What happened?
And how do I fix it? Using Win XP Pro.

    thanks

    Art

    Hello Art,

Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

We are really sorry for the inconveniences.

Please try to explore the image using "Explore Image" wizard. Also please try to restore the image under Windows and after booting from Acronis Bootable CD.

The problem of corrupted images was discussed on this forum and usually the reason appeared to be the hardware problem connected with large file (several Gbs) transfer.

    Thank you.
