All backups are corrupt, support page has error

Every time I perform a backup and opt for verification it says it is corrupt. I am backing up static data and the data does not

change during backup.
The file is corrupted. (0x4000D)
Tag = 0xC847B314771C5EB3

When I tried to use normal support channels the submit button responded with this error:

What device is your backup archive destination device - internal HD, Secure Zone, USB external ... ?

It doesn't matter if the data has changed since you made the backup since the archive validation is based on a checksum included in the archive file.

Are you running a very recent or current build? Current build for TI home is 3677.

Have you tried validating from the Rescue CD version?

Common causes of validation failing are:
bad memory (even though you think it is good from regular PC use). Run memtest86+ available free from www.memtest.org for several passes at least and overnight is preferred.

Run chkdsk on all your partitions. chkdsk X: /r where X is the drive letter of the partition being tested. It will want to reboot to do C.

Diagnostics like memtest are good but they may have to run for a long time to pick up failures and they are also not running in exactly the same environment with a lot of disk and processor activity as TI does. If you have mutiple sticks of memory in your PC and it will run on only one, try running TI with each stick in the machine by itself.

If you are using an external USB drive, make an archive to an internal drive. Internal drives tend to be the least problematic of the available devices for an archive. You can make and validate an archive of C on C if you have the space (but you can't restore it from there), just ignore any warning message.

3) Did you use Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue Media or did you use Acronis True Image in Windows?
