    I've got this message.
For the people that were subscribed to their letter, i think that their products were always 9.99$.

    Fuzzy,

If i don't know you better i would say you are "Ashampoo fan-boy". :-*

LOL! I always delete their spam on the server (through pop3 checker software). I saw this visiting their website.

I am not exactly a fanboy of them, i am mainly feeling in debt with them for having used their free burning studio versions for years. I mean, poor bastards i just got their 9.12 version of burning studio for free. I feel like i 've been ripping them off...

LOL. You're so emotional. Write them some check if you have some feel of guilt.
And don't forgot that you've used their firewall!

I bought Burning Studio 9 yesterday. To me that is their best product.

Like others I have got quite a bit of software for free from them in the past. I don't mind spending a few bucks on one of there softwares.

In fact the reason that i visit their website from time to time is to see whether they decided to release a new firewall version. But they seem they don't intend to. I am trying to find something to buy from them, i really am. I 'd buy Uninstaller 4, but after buying EAZ Fix a few days ago, i think i don't need it (i have Revo and with EAZ Fix i could do even without it). I thought to buy their slideshow maker thingie, but it doesn't accept videos, while Windows movie maker does. I thought to buy their "Snap" program, but it doesn't support 64bit and when i ll pass to 7, i will use 64bit... I don't have use for other programs from them... And they do find me in a time that i 'm short on money (EAZ fix sucked me dry and i must save money for Windows 7).

    Guilty as charged!

Latest version of Ashampoo is 9.12 and Ashampoo Burning Studio 2010 is version 9.10, just with another name.

I think Burning studio 2010 is missing a couple of functions that Burning Studio 9 has. Correct me if I am wrong but burning studio 9.12 has lightscribe support and 2010 9.1 does not. I think the movie editor has more functions too.

I was going to shower and a take a look of my Shampoo.
I was freak out: Where is the letter A from "shampoo".
Then i figured out that i'm in the bathroom and that is Shampoo and i'm not in the front of Computer and there shouldn't be Ashampoo.
    I felt relief.
At a moment i've thinked that something is going wrong with me.

    I don't think so.

Burning studio 2010 is v9.10 not 9.1, and that is a big difference.
If you have installed 2010 version you will see that is 9.10.
But everyone with it's own opinion.

the 2010 version does not support the video encoding stuff. you can not take a avi and convert and burn to dvd. and it has less menu support. other than the extra video stuff they are the same

Yes, security isn't their strong point. Their firewalls are abbandoned too.

Their av was just a rebranded avira free. Guess it's no big loss in the big picture of things.

Yes, it was Avira based, but with unique bugs. I remember that i had taken a 6 months (?) free trial key and i unistalled it the same day and threw the key away. :D
