https://www.av-test.org/en/antiviru...-2015/ahnlab-v3-internet-security-9.0-153750/ It's improved this much?
Wasn't AhnLab also in free flavor, but no one cared about it because it was so "meh"? This now is pretty amazing. Few FP's, but nothing extreme. Nice interface as well.
The free version was only available in Korean. Also, in the tests they tested v9 of V3 Internet Security which is only available in Korean. Only the older v8, is avilable in English. Edit: Possibly v9 is available in English. I tried to download a free trial, which required me to register an account. After doing so, I was unable to download it, but could download a trial V3 365 Clinic, and it is in English.
After doing some testing of V3 365 Clinic, it seems the detection is not up to scratch. It does however have proactive protection which should be able to detect some of the missed threats when they are executed. Also, it uploads quite a few scanned files to their servers to be anaylysed. The detection rate I assume is the same as V3 Internet Security. These days, V3 Internet Security is an enterprise product, while is 365 Clinic is for personal use.
@bigc73542 It is Windows 10 compatible. Old versions didn't support Windows 10. I downloaded it from a Korean download site, and Windows 10 refused to let it install (it must have been and old release of v9), saying it was incompatible. Unlike in preview builds of Windows 10, you can't rename the setup file of an incompatible antivirus, to get to install. Upon checking the specs, again just now, I see that it does support English. I'm running 365 Clinic under Windows 10 and it is fully compatible.
