I have to say that the guys/gals at the Virus Test Center at Hamburg University do a really great job. There is so much information I have been over looking for an hour now.

    Here is the link: http://agn-www.informatik.uni-hamburg.de/vtc/index.htm

Sorry if this has been posted already but I searched for the url and the name, and also looked through some of the huge links post and didn't see it.

And here is the latest test participants:

Very interesting data as always (I really like aVTC-Tests), but the test was performed in February 2003 (take a look to the logs and used signature dates*) - they needed 2 years to deliver the results, with the excuse that they put more efforts to the high quality of the test-bed and results instead of releasing actual results. But by taking a short look to some logs, I start to think that the test-bed of aVTC is not as perfect as I always thought, as IMO I do not think that for example the following files should be contained in a macro test-bed (just an example):
    H:\w97m\LYS\J\H_06F2_0.vbs ... Found the W97M/Antisocial.src.gen virus !!!
    H:\w97m\VERLOR\A\H_0C4W_0.vbs ... Found the W97M/Verlor.src virus !!!
    H:\w97m\VERLOR\B\H_0C56_0.vbs ... Found the W97M/Verlor.src virus !!!
    H:\w97m\VERLOR\D\H_0C5J_0.vbs ... Found the W97M/Verlor.src virus !!!
    H:\w97m\VERLOR\F\H_0C5O_0.vbs ... Found the W97M/Verlor.src virus !!!
    H:\w97m\VERLOR\F\H_0C5P_0.vbs ... Found the W97M/Verlor.src virus !!!
    H:\w97m\VERLOR\G\H_0C5U_0.vbs ... Found the W97M/Verlor.src virus !!!

But the test is anyway interesting as they show the results in a detailed way. I read them always with interest.

As IBK has stated some interesting results but some AV's have changed considerably in this period of time, and generally for the better!.

But good to see them back in action after such a long lull. Hopefully they can provide future test data in a faster time frame, using more up to-date AV versions, as with av-comparatives ;).
