Agent Server disable

Hi all,
When TDS3 starts up it launches "Agent Server" I then have manualy kill this process, ( it could be a security hole) Anyone know how to stop TDS3 launching it? Thanks

it is no security risk at all, unless anybody ever creates a hacking script using remotely your msagent utilities. It would not happen unseen/unheard if that was ever tried. In all those years never heard of this option (yet!)


You can close it of course if you're not interested in the speech technologies (of which it is part) and other msagent functions, desktophelpers, officehelpers, animated scripts and the whole lot.
If you close it and need it somewhere you'll have to reboot and disable it in the MSCONFIG.

But you'll miss it soon enough! No more friendly greetings, no more reminders to add sleep to your to-do list, no more begging for bites of your lunch, etc and no more possibility to use TDS as a pronunciation helper in your language studies.
