How many v.4 releases should we count before an Italian language release?

    v.4.0.467 has been released in:

    English (ENU)
    Slovak (SKY)
    Czech (CSY)
    Polish (PLK)
    Russian (RUS)
    Spanish (ESN)
    French (FRA)
    Chinese Simplified (CHS)
    Chinese Traditional (CHT)
    Dutch (NLD)
    German (DEU)
    French Canadian (FRC)
    Hungarian (HUN)
    Portuguese Brazilian (PTB)
    Slovenian (SLV)
    Turkish (TRK)
    Bulgarian (BGR)
    Danish (DAN)
    Finnish (FIN)
    Norwegian (NOR)
    Romanian (ROM)
    Swedish (SVE)
    Ukrainian (UKR)
    Croatian (HRV)

but not in Italian like NONE of the v.4 releases we had till now.

Seems to me that somebody does not his homework.

ESET should take care of it.

    Let's hope in the v.5.....

Perhaps you should ask the Italian distributor

    Thanks for the suggestion.........already done.

Consider that Italian reseller has officially released ESET Smart Security v.3 for Home Users in Italian (v.3 !) just only two or three months ago.

Anyway this is not a big problem.......

I would just know, like others Italians in this Forum, why the localization for us is constantly late.

    But perhaps nobody knows......

As far as I know localized versions are prepared by national distributors . This means that they should know better.

Never mind the italian distributor...the price he applies in Italy is €54 ($80) for NOD32 v3 Home (old version, he still didn't translate v4 in italian yet).

US resellers charge $40 for NOD32 v4 Home: half the price.

That's why many italian users buy licenses through US friends, they save 50% to have a serial number, and that's it. ;)

Many italian users do use cracked version (unfortunately) due to the high price that the italian distributor applies.

It's a shame because the product is really popular in Italy. You should let the users choose where to buy freely, the channel marketing policy is not very smart.

You are quite right and that's another strange story.

I use the English version, as the v.4 in Italian isn't available and,
for the mere fact that my IP comes from Italy, I am forced to buy
from a dealer who charge higher prices and doesn't update products.

In the era of communications and global market this is pure commercial
madness to the detriment of customers and even ESET itself.

    Anti-globalization policy...;)

Anyway, I told my italian friends how to obtain licenses at half the cost of the italian distributor, it's not that hard...;)

I can ensure you that my friend Luca Sambucci Communications Manager at Future Time, the Italian distributor of ESET (NOD32 antivirus, ESS) and Agnitum (Outpost line) security products, speaks fluenlty 5 languages ;-)

Eset -Future Time - Italy has is own reasons for not distributing the new product yet, but please do not ask me why, thanks

    Cheers

I was only joking lol I have been studying Italian for quiet some time though ;) I have been studying several different languages for the last 9 years. I can't say i'm good at any of them lol Maybe if i stuck to only 2 or 3 of them i could became fluent at a native level. Luca Sambucci sounds like a very accomplished person.
