The steps you took are kind of hard to follow. Also, the current state of the laptop is unclear.

If I've misunderstood any of the steps you did, please post back with the correct information. Answers to the questions below would also be helpful.

    1. You installed a non-Vista compatible build of DD (2,077) into Vista.
    2. You resized your C: partition to 50GB.
    3. You created a new E: partition in the unallocated space.
    4. You did not make any changes to the D: partition (recovery partition?).
    5. DD rebooted to make the changes.
    6. There was an error after 15 minutes. What was the error?
    7. You rebooted and DD came up again (possibly detecting the changes hadn't been finished).
    8. You aborted DD and let Vista continue to boot.
    9. At this point, did Vista boot correctly? Were the partitions correct?
    Next...

    1. Vista must have booted at least somewhat successfully.
    2. You uninstalled DD (2,077) and rebooted Vista.
    3. Vista had a BSOD on boot-up. Do you know the error code?
    4. Vista restarted due to the BSOD.
    5. After that, what do you mean by "after that vista restore to the location"?
    Next...

    1. You say you installed DD and now you can't uninstall it. Did you reinstall DD after the BSOD? Do you get an error when you try to uninstall?
    2. You downloaded build 2,160, but it won't install. Do you get an error message? If so, what is it?

No program is perfect, but I've used both TI and DD with Vista and have had only a few minor problems (and mostly only in testing different scenarios).

The forum is full of problems because this is where people go to get help on their problems.

You can't blame Acronis for you installing a non-Vista compatible version of the program and then having problems with it.

Since you didn't bother answer any of the questions that would allow someone to help you, as you say, case closed.
