I cleaned my computer of spyware/scumware with Ad-Aware after returning from a trip. I also deleted most everything that was installed or modified during the dates I was gone. Cleaning seemed successful, computer works fine except for displaying Internet web pages - I get DNS Error, cannot find server

    Platform: WIndows XP
Cable modem, wireless router for the house
My computer shows a strong signal/connection with the router.
Confirmed with cable company that I have service; the other computer on the router works fine.

I have firewall program but disabled it through IE Options
I have done ipconfig, ip reset (something like that), pinged known websites - resulted in 'request timed out'
Removed and reinstalled Explorer. Tried to restore system to a previous date (shows previous available dates but would not complete task.
Tried using Mozilla to browse instead of IE, no dice.

Short of reinstalling Windows, do you have any other suggestions? My Hijackthis log follows. Hopefully it has some clues. ? Thanks, M
