Juts after I updated extfs for Mac (through auto update) the Mac restarted but with black screen et no disk spin apparently ... Cannot start in recovery mode... As it happens, the update triggered a restart, which revealed a faulty extension (which ?) that was updated within the last 24/48 hours but didn't require restart...I got rid of some and (extfs one of them but didn't have time to point out the guilty one) and I'm back to normal...Candidates: Flux, FinderPop and Default Folder not el Capitan compatible but still installed, ...
