After accidently formating wrong drive Truecrypt cant get mounted

I have accidently formated my partition with a truecrypt volume in it.
I was able to recover the 10gb container but Truecrypt says thats either the wrong password or its not a truecrypt container.

I tried lokoing at the container with a winhexeditor and its showing me random numbers and I am stuck now.
If anyone could help me I would appreciate it.

 

Have you tried testcrypt? I was able to recover an overwritten truecrypt volume with it: http://testcrypt.sourceforge.net/
