after how many times of being beaten down i wonder seriously when they will smarten up.. lol.. this has happened forever now to them when it comes to hardware. they so bad want to be copy apple and be a hardware company instead of what they were GOOD at for so many years that made them the billions they have and then they change the os and the majority hate it now and each and every time they have released anything hardware wise it simply bombed. even their smartphones going back to windows phone 5-6 were a flop for them over the others out at the time. man wish i had the money to throw away i would make something great that actually could be a competitor to apple.

Windows is great on tablets but I think they should left RT for low end really much cheaper tablets and make all other tablets to run full blown windows OS, not the RT version.

in Microsoft's defense, they've always been late to the game, but tend to catch up slowly over time. i'm guessing the future Windows tablet OS will eventually overtake Apple's iPads in market share because MS doesn't limit it to their hardware - same reason MS won the personal computer OS battle (in terms of market share at least). however, now they also have to compete against android, which is very much hardware independent, and I see no reason why they should win that market battle.

USA still the best. But barely.
If the hardware is equal MS needs to come in at 60% or less of the price of Apple.

Anything more & they've got another big time loser on their hands. Big time. I believe MS will double down on this version. Thought you were sick of all those dancing & clicking tablet & keyboard commercials. Yeah well then just wait.

This is shaping up to be a 2 billion plus write down failure.

And I got to believe that MS had 10s of thousands of the original RTs crushed/destroyed rather them showing up at BigLots for $49.99.

I just wish Windows RT & RT2 actors, developement, design, whomever, executives etc. would fight (lol, j/k) to the death their Mentos Mints counterparts. If I never saw another commercial for either product that would be sweet.

if they sell them at $49.99 at least they would cannabilize competitor sales, and maybe convert new tablet users into Windows tablet users.

Yup - with the introduction of Cubox - Microsoft is challenged to produce an ARM computer for $40. If it can't - its adios to Microsoft's venture in the mobile PC market. :isay:

The Cubox is around ~$120 though not $40.

Nvm: Just saw the CuBox-i1 for $44.99
