    Hello,
Does anyone have a first hand experience with these?
If there's a product one thinks is great - would it justify participation in an affiliate program? What about the payment methods? Etc. Etc.
    Any ideas fellas?

MrKvonic, I'm not an affiliate of any program yet. However, here is a forum where you can get all the info you need about any affiliate program or service on the net.www.associateprograms.com... This website also has a search feature for affiliate programs and services.

Let's say for example you're interested in being an affiliate for "software". Type "software in the search box,, and up will come a lot of different websites that sell software that are looking for affiliates. There are affiliates for about any product or service you can think of. Fishing equipment,Dating services, Genealogy, clothing, survival, it goes on and on.LOL

Even Wally world has affiliates. You asked a question about Payment methods. Most companies pay their affiliates once a month. You simply sign up to be an affiliate for their products or services. They will furnish you a link to place on your website, blog, etc. The link will contain a code, that identifies you as the refferer, or affiliate when someone clicks on your link, and buys a product..you earn a commission.

Being an affiliate for a company is usually free. And the company handles all financial transactions. Then they send you a check at the end of the month. Their is no risk in becoming an affiliate. Signup is usually free. You then place the link the company provides you on your website blog etc. people click your link, and buy..you earn a commission. It's as simple as that.

The average affiliate makes about $90 a month. Some affiliates make thousands per month. Do a google search for "Rosalind Gardner" She's one of the top money earners in the affiliate field. She specialises mostly in dating services.

    Hope this helps.

Have you tried free hosting like awardspace.com?

Some have surrendered coz their site is not converting, search engine optimization is a bit hard for business like this coz you've got thousands of competition sites out there. Having your site found in the first page of popular search engines is very difficult. And if google and yahoo found same site content like yours then maybe your site will be neglected. :p

    Hello,

Website building and such is my hobby only. It's not my work or a way of providing for living or anything like that.

BTW, I'm pretty pleased with my rating on Google / Yahoo. It's not really important, but it's nice to know one man can make a difference, no matter how small.

    Cheers,
    Mrk
