hey yall, so there is an election going on in my state for some congress position and its coming up in november. and just recently i noticed that in my secondary computer with ie8(doesnt have any ad blockers) i started to get ads from the nominees saying stuff like vote for me, the other party is wrong etc etc. and also i noticed that these ads were provided by Google. is google showing me these ads based on the location of my IP Address provided by my ISP?
you can have simple adblock for ie8 or use anohter adblocker is posted here in the forum,,think is under the name of private fileter for ie8 from adblock.
yes i know that, but that is not the point. im asking if google shows the ads about the upcoming election in my state based on the location of my IP Address provied by my ISP
Yes, and also will use any information google has about you, your IP, your computer, searching habits, etc..
how what do you mean by your computer? and if you deleted your browsing history wouldnt the searching habits not matter?
Your computer means everything they can capture ex. browser,cookies,OS geolocation, etc.. If your logged in your Google account they know your searching habits, and even if your are not logged they will use your IP ... Read google's privacy policy
