Https Facebook site loads up good sometimes and other times using the https filter it is always ....waiting for ....something in lower left of screen with chrome.
I have about 25 chrome extensions running so these might be part of the problems with https filtering.
im using v6 RC1 with chrome , i can go facebook without any issues. surely some of your security apps interfere. surely
AFA might be slowing down the page scrolling on twitter with my phone. If i could copy and paste the running extensions i would do so.
Hi, Can I check if Adguard can block the webpage from creating another tab (those with ads). Currently what I encounter is the webpage is creating another tab but the contents (from the new tab) are blocked since it's an ad.
avatar, What are Adguard default settings? I tried V6 RC. Adguard Install - Spyware, Social Media & Useful Ads filters are there. Reset Settings to Defaults - Spyware, Social Media & Useful Ads filters are not there. What is the default setting for sites with EV certificates? There is an extension settings in the GUI, does disabling extensions lowers Adguard protection? And any info on the Version 6 Final release?
Default: Filters: English, User Filter, Language-specific filter HTTPS enabled EV disabled Coming in 1-2 weeks. One more RC will be on monday. Nope. It simply disables all userscripts: AG Assistant, WOT. If you don't need them, you can disable them in one click.
V6 on install enables spyware, social media, etc...is this a bug or design? Coz default doesn't includes them.
Hm, if you skip the first wizard, it should not enable it. If you go through wizard, then it depends on what you are clicking there.
I tried again. Skiping or continuing the wizard...both ways installs other optional filters. And the wizard is get started thing. So IMO skipping wizard should install default settings/filters. And continuing wizard should reflect default settings i.e default settings/filters should be ticked & optional settings/filters should be unticked so that users clearly know the defaults & the optional settings/filters. Currently if you continue the wizard & click customize then optional filters/settings are ticked. I think would be good if the optional filters/settings are unticked so that users know they are not default i.e optional before taking any action.
You are right, these filters should not be enabled until you do it on your own: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardForWindows/issues/746
I get this bad popup ad that gets past everything i have. This is the custom filter for it in my adblock chrome extension. Could Adguard do something to block this ad. ...... www.utsports.com##DIV[class="fo-sub-wrapper fo-close-xyz sgsefvhuedc"] www.utsports.com##DIV[id="fo-right-ribbon"][class="fo-close-xyz sgsefvhuedc ribbonContainerSmall ribbonWidthSmall"]
The link mention optional filters should not be enabled if skip is selected...thats right. But I find the continue wizard flawed or not proper i.e there are 2 ways to continue the wizard, either keep clicking "proceed" or check "customize" & then proceed. Eitherway optional filters are enabled. And the wizard is not clear to the default & optional stuffs i.e whats defaults & whats optional. Basically I would like to see - Skip - enables defaults. Continue - Shows options/filters, default options/filters checked & optional filters/options unchecked. So users clearly know whats defaults & whats optional before taking any action.
That's not quite true. You always have two options (besides customize): "Proceed" or "No, thanks". "Proceed" enables module with its default settings, "No, thanks" completely disables it. You can add these filters to Adguard too. How do these popups look like? I have tried that website, but I don't see any popup there. I also see some missed social widgets there: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/ExperimentalFilter/issues/1317
I might have stopped that popup using the AG chrome extension which put a rule in my AGFW user filter...##.apHtXbrHrOT3K9Fp_g1xoPhrko, .fo-root, .fo-close-xyz, .sgsefvhuedc
This is where i get or used to get this popup ad. I used to get the same popup ad right here on this wildersecurity site also... http://www.utsports.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/yby-scores.html
