I cannot uninstall AdGuard. I was trying the COMSS version most recently and there wasn't even an entry under Add or Remove Programs. I installed the Beta over the top. That gave me the entry at last, but the uninstallation didn't do anything. The service and gui are still running and on automatic.
Have you tried rebooting and then uninstalling again? Soon I'll add an article on how to uninstall Adguard forcibly for cases like yours.
@avatar Could you add support for 360 Browser and add the entry 360 Browser - By Default to "Settings > Browsers" Here is more info on the browser itself (Same people who brought us 360 Total Security) http://www.360safe.com/browser.html
HOLY COW! , you're quick on the reply there hahaha Thanks for listening and taking my suggestion This is why I bought your product Because the product works great and you guys actually care and listen to your community, good job
@avatar, just a question, Are we on track with the schedule for 5.10 release as per the Adguard blog? Secondly how is the android version coming along? anything new to share? No rush..Keep up the great work Regards
@FleischmannTV @dansorin We've added manual removal instructions: http://adguard.com/en/how-to-delete-adguard.html#manual @TS4H I think stable release of 5.10 will be in the end of July. Android version is ok. We'll start closed beta-test in a couple of weeks. I hope we'll be ready for open beta-test in August.
Beside the manual removing described in the article, is there any command to trigger uninstall using Windows command prompt?
I'll try. You could find or download setup package (not web installer). It is available by the link http://download.adguard.com/setup.exe and run it from the command prompt: Code: setup.exe /uninstall The problem is that I am not sure about the setup package, we have not tested it. The original package (used for installation) could be required.
It's clear now. Thanks! So, while there is possibility to use the command prompt, it's not recommended to use it until this method is properly tested and approved for usage.
@avatar The uninstaller package doesn't actually get rid of Adguard, will this be fixed in future versions? Plus... Any news about future releases?
Are you talking about the instruction above? As I've said it is not recommended to use it, and original package (used for installation) could be required 5.10 is in beta-testing stage now. End of July is an ETA for stable release.
Hi, avatar could you advise me on this, I use Hotspot Shield and try to block their unneeded scripts (to me) if I can... While I was trying adguard for firefox it blocked this Hotspot Shield script with this via its own filters... ||box.anchorfree.net^ I've re-installed AdGuard for windows and added ||box.anchorfree.net^ to my user filters but it still runs?
