Assistant is not application - it is a part of Adguard. I am sure the problem you've faced was your browser cache. Although it is rather strange that your browser did such aggressive caching.
Hello shadek, Avatar has posted a road map of Adguard on the Adguard blog: http://blog.adguard.com/en/adguard-news/adguard-road-map.html
I got rid of Adblock Plus, Ghostery and WOT, because I'm now using Adguard. Since disabling all those extensions, my Firefox is running lighter than ever. Thank you Adguard for making such a powerful tool, I am truly enjoying your product
Been using it for while but had a problem today with Gmail. Page doesn't load while Adguard is activated. Disable Adguard for the Gmail page and all loads OK.
No I just checked, update says 'you are running the most recent of filter databases'....I don't use the experimental filters normally so I tried turning them on as well, still no problems connecting to gmail.
Gmail works OK now for me if I turn off the Spyware & Tracking filter in Adguard options. Awaiting a filter update to fix it.
Cannot reproduce it. What browser do you use? Do you use any extension? Can you give a list of them? Do you use VPN or proxy?
I'm using Hotspot Shield, so, given the fact there was a filter problem for some and I didn't have any problems connecting to gmail, does that mean I'm not getting the full benefits of adguard?
Only part of users had this problem. For example everything was ok with my gmail account. But my co-worker had the issue.
Ah, thanks avatar, I really don't want to part with this program, not only an ad blocker but an essential security app as well.
Does anyone know how adguard support is? I sent them at least two support tickets and I have yet to hear from them.
I am absolutely loving this Ad-blocker, it literally does such an excellent job. Since the team over at Adguard works so hard, I went ahead and bought me a license for all my computers. Keep up the good work, Adguard team.
I've had to turn off the filter for https protocol, with it on it causes a fail with tests for heart bleed...like this example...on FireFox. https://revoked.grc.com/
After using the chrome extension alone, i decided to trial the windows client. After being impressed with the chrome extension, the windows client does not disappoint, So i congratulate the adguard team for such a great job. I did however run into a few problems i think, albeit minor. a) the adguard assistant is not showing on my feedly page. ( i like to hide the "upgrade" promo stuff, like i did in the browser extension alone). b) disabling the assistant via the icon context menu did work, but in the software settings, the "use assistant" checkmark is still there, unless i am missing something.. The memory usage is still rather high to my liking (143MB) but does not slow down my browsing performance Feature request? When using the assistant to hide items/or open its GUI, it would be nice to click on the web page to close the assistant than rather click the X. I know its minor, but will help with the fluidity of the extension. Congratulations, i look forward to the future of adguard.
