Over the years i've kept seeing Lots of people asking about them. Even very recently on here. So i thought a dedicated thread is long overdue. This way people will know where to discover them, & also others can post with suggestions etc ;)

There are hundreds, if not more, Add0ns/Plugins/Extentions etc for Firefox, but only a fraction for IE ! Why that was/is ?

Anyway the good news is that @ least there are some, & useful/good too ;)

I'll start off with a couple i posted recently. I havn't tested them with later versions of IE, but if someone does then please post your findings :thumb:

QSIZ is what i used for Years on IE, before i moved over to FF.

Select from Allow/Prompt/Deny & then it's less than 1 second to click in Real Time whether you enable or disable.

    I also used this

tnx for the heads-up Ranger! :thumb:

indeed, there seems to be very little in addons for IE.

and if you use Enhanced Protected mode or 64 bits mode then even less.
Ghostery won't even install under those conditions.

:) If you use any of them, please let us know what V of IE you used, & what you think of them :)

    @ Dermot7

:) Thanks for the link :thumb: Good explanations.

If i'd put BHO's though instead of AddOns, "maybe" some people wouldn't realise what it meant ;)

If anybody knows of other IE BHO's, please post :thumb:

unfortunately, AdBlock Plus will not install under Enhanced Protected Mode.
there are not that many plugins who will install under Enhanced Protected mode or 64 bits Protected mode.

so if i have to forgo the Protected modes i might as well look at using another browser since i have a wider choice of addons with either Firefox or Chrome.

There's always the Tracking Protection Lists, Adblock Plus isn't needed is most cases. I'd still use another browser for add-ons though.

There's also HTTPS Everywhere for Internet Explorer, developed by Zscaler. It has been mentioned before at this forum. *puppy* Search. *puppy* :D

    -edit-

This Softpedia link also has more addons for IE -http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Internet-Applications-Addons/

Unless it's implemented differently, I don't see why the same lists (like EasyPrivacy) will not.
